¿Cómo funciona? Cuando un usuario compra en línea, Phia puede detectar la imagen exacta por precio, marca y atributos físicos como color y forma. Estos datos pasan por un proceso de unificación donde la IA compara el artículo con más de 300 millones de otros en la base de datos de Phia para identificar el más vendido. Phia también presta atención a lo que suele buscar cada usuario.

“Mucho de esto depende de la idea de personalización y de poder adaptar todos nuestros resultados a tu comportamiento, gustos, estilo y preferencias personales”, afirma Kianni. “Ahí es donde los datos se vuelven muy complejos y por eso es importante contar con personal experimentado y con amplia experiencia en este ámbito”.

Phia empezó como una extensión del navegador que buscaba en internet comparaciones de reventa de los artículos que buscaban los compradores. No funcionó bien, dice Gates. “Pero el hecho de que la gente siguiera interesada, a pesar de que era un producto horrible en aquel momento, significaba que habíamos dado con algo bueno”.
