Venezuelan-born entrepreneur and speaker Eddy Vera unveils 2025 expansion, mentorship program, and international tour to inspire resilience and purpose.
Not every success story begins with a victory. Some are born in the middle of a battle. The journey of Eddy Vera is not the tale of an entrepreneur who always had the answers, but of a woman who chose faith when life seemed to fall apart—a story of resilience so profound, it inevitably inspires everyone who hears it.
Born in Venezuela, Vera grew up between modest dreams and monumental challenges. At just 15 years old, she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, leaving her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. She learned to walk again, to study on her own, and to live with a cane—but she never stopped dreaming. At 19, life struck again: stage 4 ovarian cancer. Without insurance, without resources, and with doctors giving her six months to live, she decided to believe, as she says, that “God has the final word.” She survived a radical hysterectomy, and more than survived—she was reborn with a renewed sense of purpose.

With only $500 and a suitcase, she migrated alone to New York. There, she worked as a housekeeper, waitress, nanny, and manicurist. She walked countless city blocks with a broken heart, but with the unwavering certainty she was meant for something greater. That clarity became destiny in 2018 when she discovered the world of network marketing. She went on to lead more than 2,500 people, fill auditoriums, and learn that when you speak from a healed wound, your words can become medicine for others. In 2021, Vera channeled her leadership and life lessons into EV Financial, an insurance firm with a deeply human approach. More than selling policies, her company offers the protection of dreams, peace of mind, and real support.
Today, over 8,500 Hispanic families across the United States trust EV Financial to safeguard their health, life, and future. Her vision has always extended beyond business. In 2023, she founded EV Foundation, expanding her mission into social impact. In Barranquilla, Colombia, the foundation supports children in vulnerable conditions with meals, recreation, and emotional care. In Tovar, her hometown in Venezuela, it aids elderly residents—providing not just essential supplies but also companionship, joy, and hope. “EV Foundation doesn’t give charity; it gives dignity,” Vera emphasizes.

In 2024, she launched EV Agency, a platform dedicated to training insurance agents with vision, ethics, and purpose. Success here is not measured solely in commissions, but in personal and professional leadership—empowering every agent to become a model of integrity and service. Vera’s story has reached audiences in three countries, eight cities, and thousands of people across Venezuela, Colombia, and the United States.
Her signature conference, “Turning Problems into Resilience and Faith,” has touched hearts, awakened hope, and inspired action. She doesn’t just speak about resilience—she lives it. 2025 marks a pivotal year for Vera. She will be featured at events including She Inspire Miami in August, Latina Expo in October, and HÉROES: El Evento also in October. She is also preparing for an international speaking tour under the theme “Born in the Midst of Adversity”, the November launch of her digital mentorship program “Activate Your Purpose”, and a new strategic alliance between EV Financial and EV Foundation—where every policy sold directly impacts a life in need.
Eddy Vera is more than a business leader—she is a survivor who transformed pain into purpose and purpose into measurable impact. Her journey is a call to believe that no matter how fierce the storm, it is always possible to build a legacy of service, leadership, and love.
